Bowhunting Puma in Argentina
The Puma or “Leon Americano” is the same species as our North American Mountain lion or Cougar. The puma is usually somewhat smaller than their North American cousin and tend to have a wider color range. North American mountain lions tend to be more reddish. The color of the puma in Argentina tends to vary from zone to zone. These cats widespread and abundant in Argentina. They are found in all kinds of terrain ( mountain, jungle, bushland, swampland and semi desert).
Sometimes night bowhunting in blinds near water holes is done or more conventionally hunting with hounds.
Exportation permits for Puma to the USA are not always available and therefore must be checked in advance of the hunt.
