Bowhunting Whitetail Deer in Canada
While there are literally thousands of places a bowhunter can choose to hunt whitetails, BSC has selected a few great outfitters throughout various parts of North America for the traveling bowhunter who can't get enough whitetail hunting at home! We have limited our selection to a few outfitters, in a few areas. In Canada, we offer bowhunts for whitetail deer primarily in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and British Columbia.
There are five different species of deer as recognized by Pope and Young in North America. The Whitetail Deer is the most heavily hunted animal in North America. There is also the smaller sub-species called the Coues Deer, pronounced "cows". There are also the Mule Deer, Sitka Blacktail Deer, and the Columbia Blacktail Deer. P&Y minimums for the 5 species start with Coues Deer at 65, Sitka Blacktail at 75, Columbia Blacktail at 90, Whitetail at 125, and the Mule Deer at 145.
